No this isn’t an attempt to get google to rate my site higher on it’s illustrious search engine rankings (although if it helps I won’t argue). This article will briefly discuss my new found desire to use Google Apps to help streamline my business process along with those of my customers. The benefit of google apps, over many other applications that seek to do the same is, google apps is not only free but it is backed by a software GIANT which seeks to continually improve it’s applications.

There are many different ways you can use google apps. You can sign up for a free account through google in which you would have the run of the mill myaddress@gmail.com or there is another solution which I think small businesses and freelancers alike will truely enjoy. You can register your mx records with google which will allow you to get mail through gmail while still having your website (if you don’t have a website come see me) hosted by the hosting company of your choice. This is the first step in getting your company under the big brother wing that is google.

Once you are ready to begin using google apps the potential is endless. All of their products integrate with one another to increase productivity and have a one stop shop for all of your employees.
